November 4-8

Math: All student weather graphing projects are due Tuesday. Your final work should include:

  • a graph with all appropriate labels-presentation matters!
  • Complete chart with all data rounded to the nearest whole number
  • Questions/analyses
  •  completed in complete sentences.
Please share your math fluency results! We have checked our fluency with single-digit multiplication (two through 7 times table up to twelve). The goal is to help students gain a strong foundation, a high degree of procedural skill and fluency, and the ability to apply the math they know to solve problems. Fact families can be reviewed and solidified through practice and games.

Up next is two-digit by two-digit multiplication using
  • Arrays
  • Partial product
  • lattice
  • traditional methods
Each student will explore the different methods. This helps students develop their understanding of patterns and the relationship between numbers in math. They are welcome to use the strategy that is most successful for them.

Science:
Organism Poster Task is due by Tuesday! The assignment and templates are shared in Drive and all work should be shared in Drive.

Up next, we will complete our exploration of the long-range forecast and how it guides our clothing choices.
