Both classes have finished presenting their Book Club projects yesterday. It turned out to be a huge success, and it was fascinating to see all of the hard work students have done at home! Rubric with comments will be sent home with students today. This project was not given a number grade, instead each student will receive a page with teacher feedback. Please read the comments and discuss areas of growth as well as strengths. Thank you to the families who participated in making delicious treats for everyone to share! All students have selected a science experiment topic. Please discuss and review the topic with your child. They will need to have supplies for practice Wednesday and presentation next Tuesday. As a scientist, you are expected to explore past experiments and test the theory presented. Your task is to showcase your chemistry skills and understanding of the scientific vocabulary through a science experiment of your choosing.  This experiment will be conducted at school using the supplies you provide from home. It is important that you plan your experiment, discuss it with your teacher, then your parent to receive approval . We are approaching the due date of our Book Club project, which is on Friday March 6th (next week). This is an at-home task students were given back in January. They had to read a new novel and pick a book report project from 5 given options. They could also come up with a creative project of their own to demonstrate their understadning of the text, with the teacher's approval. Report Choices:   ·  Artifact Basket – Collect 8-10 items that represent a significant event, character, or conflict.  Each item must have a one-sentence explanation. ·  Drawing and caption – Create a six-frame comic strip with one caption and two dialogue bubbles each. ·  Write two letters – The first letter will be a letter from you asking the main character a thought provoking question.
