Big Task in Humanities and Wetlands

Thank you to all of the families that came for Student Led Conferences. We really appreciate you for your time and the discussions around your child's success and growth. We really value these opportunities because it puts us all on the same page, providing kiddos with every avenue to success!

In Humanities, we began our Big Task in Humanities. Part One focuses on 5 important categories. Students were given these instructions:

What do I need to do?
  • I need to look up the topics of my region using online resources and print materials
  • I need to take notes on the information I find

What should I have?
  • I should have 3+ sentences of information on each of these topics:
    • Physical landscape (landforms/geography)
    • Natural resources (jobs)
    • Culture and Tourism (landmarks/recreation/traditions)
    • Indigenous life
    • Historical events or figures

Please use Mr. Polsky's online textbook on Google for reference. Every student knows how to access the online textbook, and they are all aware of their region.

It was a fun week in Science as students explored and created their own wetlands!
